Vlachodimos- done he is a forest player. 4 year contract.
So now it's down to Sangare, origi, omobamidele.
Will feel sick if Sangare doesn't get done after Johnson has left

Sangare is at the ground medical all done, terms agreed, contract agreed just needs to sign on dotted line but needs to be simultaneous with Johnson. Not going to be another Kamil grosicki is it???

Deal sheet in for Adam omabomadele for £20m from Norwich so additional hour for that. Hearing a lot more about Johnson being done but nothing as of yet saying Sangare is sign sealed and delivered but it looks 99% there.

Sounds confident. Hats off to the club for what they have managed today. Huge drive to make the club stronger this season. Really have a good platform to move forward now. Well done to the owner. Much better recruitment than last year not even taking into account the number of players we have off our books….

Whilst it’s good to see us sign a few better quality players, isn’t the risk that the large number bought in a very shot period will damage team cohesion? It felt from the first few games that we were finally getting going as a team, by the time the new additions integrate (and we adjust to the loss of Johnson) will we already be in relegation trouble? Have we signed players this week who we ought to have signed in the summer?
Sangare’s ability can’t be questioned but I’m struggling with why an ambitious player would turn down Champions League football in favour of a team who only just avoided relegation. PSV had a good chance to progress from their group too.
Not trying to sound like Victor Meldrew but trying to offer a voice of reason.

My response would be that I think these are transfers that Cooper very much wanted. He hasn't been shy in saying he wants more players through the door and that is what he has been given and let's be honest, on paper this has to be one of the most high quality windows ina. Long long time. We have brought in real quality here ( for our level anyway). Yes Cooper will have to gel again but not like the number he had to last year and we are gelling players that genuinely have quality and they know each other have quality too. We have actually seen a lot of players go out the door but hardly any of them have noticeably changed our first team other than Johnson obviously and the loans we had last year. We have a really good squad as it stands that shouldn't really be in any trouble from the bottom 3 in my opinion. We have strength in depth now, shame Brennan couldn't be a part of that but it's because he's not a part of it that we have got it. Our first 11 and bench is actually looking like it could belong to a top 10 team. I'm thoroughly excited. Bring it on

And the final 7th signing of deadline day is confirmed. Norwich under 21 centre half Andrew Omobamidele signs for reportedly around £11m+ add ons taking it to around £20m on a 5 year deal

Feels like taking one step back for a few weeks to go three forward. The owner has liked what he has seen in the last couple of games to warrant more support of Cooper and now he has no excuses. Spoilt for choice in almost every position. I’m excited to see what Cooper can do with this team. Exciting times ahead.

Comparing this squad now to 2 seasons ago, it’s quite an achievement. Shelvey and Biancone now departed on loans or perms. Hennessey, Toffolo, Kouyate the only noticeably weaker squad members assuming the recent signings settle in well.
Matt Turner Odysseas Vlachodimos Wayne Hennessey
Ola Aina Serge Aurier Willy Boly Felipe Scott McKenna Gonzalo Montiel Moussa Niakhate Nuno Tavares Harry Toffolo Neco Williams Joe Worrall
Danilo Nicolas Dominguez Morgan Gibbs-White Cheikhou Kouyate Orel Mangala Ibrahim Sangare Ryan Yates
Taiwo Awoniyi Callum Hudson-Odoi Divock Origi Chris Wood
Notable players under 21
Anthony Elanga Murillo Andrew Omobamidele Andrey Santos

Just read that Forest have the most international call ups in the premier league, I’m astounded, surprised and looking forward to them all gelling together so we can climb into the top ten.

Where are those valuations from? I'd expect more for Johnson and Gibbs-White but 400k for Arter? Got to be one of the most optimistic valuations I've ever seen I didn't know where to put this but here seems appropriate enough... My mate lives over Mapperley way and decided to go to Gedling Miners Welfare FC v Forest u21's in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup 2nd Round last night. He's not a Forest fan and sent me a picture of a much older than 21 player that was playing and asked who it was and it was only Harry Arter. Apparently he was captain and "He didn't even stand out as being one of the better players on the pitch" In some respects i'm glad we're actually making him earn some of that 40K a week he is supposedly getting but in another he's taking the place of a kid getting some experience. Oh well, he'll finally be gone in the Summer.

Taiwo out for 3-4 months. We desperately need a striker in Jan. Fuck Origi off, he's garbage.
